The largest air raid precaution black-out to date has been arranged for midnight to four a.m. on August 10. The test is to cover half of England. including London, the Midlands and South-East. All householders will be asked to sit up to ensure that their windows are adequately screened, and motorists will be requested to keep off the roads. The Royal Air Force will fly over the darkened areas, searching for any glimmer of lights. Strict war time conditions will prevail and anti-aircraft guns will be manned.
