LABOUR PARTY

DANCE AND EUCHRE PARTY. Another very enjoyable and well patronised dance and euchre tournament under the auspices of the Social Committee of the Masterton Labour Party was held in the Y.M.C.A. last night. These gatherings, which are held once a fortnight, are gaining in popularity. The card prizes were won by Mrs Ford and Mr Beard, the lucky spot by Miss Howes and Mr Murdoch, and the Monte Carlo, by Miss Jansen and Mr Oakly. The winner of the picture competition was Mr B. Baikie, Music was supplied by members of Barnes’s Orchestra, extras being played by Messrs Dewar and Minifie. Mr Pal Ward as M.C. ably controlled the gathering.
