DIGGERS’ MARKET
R.S.A. ENTERTAINMENT FUND. £7OO IN HAND OR IN SIGHT. For the information of the public, the “Diggers’ Market” Committee wishes to announce that the special efforts made to raise an entertainment fund for the local Returned Soldiers’ Association have resulted in the sum of about £7OO being in hand or in sight. As already announced, the gross proceeds from the market amounted to £484, and the difference was already in hand from donations by returned soldiers and others made during the past three months. The actual net proceeds of the market will not be ascertained until all accounts for expenses of the market are received. .
