It is reported from Teschen that German troop reinforcements have arrived at the former Czech-Polish frontier and that barbed wire entanglements are being erected. It is reported from Danzig that four uniformed Nazis battered a Polish railwayman. The German version says the Nazis acted in self -defence. The Gestapo has arrested and sent to a concentration camp twelve workmen from the Schichau Wharf, from which arms are smuggled in. The Polish police arrested three Germans on charges of smuggling Nazis into Danzig. The United States Ambassador to Poland (Mr A. Biddle) arrived in Dan ■ zig and interviewed M. Chodacki and Dr Burckhardt. Herr Foerster denied that Herr Hitler is visiting Danzig in July. Confusion reigns on the money market as a' result of restrictions on the transfer of currency abroad and the cessation oi payments on foreign loans. Germans are trying to exchange local currency for Polish currency or Polish goods.
