“The Government is not trying to block anybody but simply 'wants to carry out its policy and apply it to all, without fear or favour,” said Mr Savage today, when his attention was drawn to a statement from Auckland that bowlers in various parts of New Zealand wishing to compete in the Golden Gate Exposition in September tournament were having difficulty in arranging for the transfer of funds for the trip. Mr Savage added tlTat the details insuch cases were the concern of the Reserve Bank, which naturally dealt with such questions on their merits and could do nothing else. What the bank did had general application.
