Queen Wilhelmina summoned defence chiefs and a former governor of the Dutch East Indies for consultations in respect of the formation of a new Government as, in view of the dangers in Asia and the Dutch Indies, it is considered vital that the country be no longer left without a Government. The Queen refused lo grant Dr H. Colijn's request that he be relieved of the task of forming a Cabinet.
