The first stops in mobilisation of Britain's 3700 million sterling of overseas investments for emergency purposes has been taken by the Treasury, which has requested the Association of Investment Trusts to declare the total value cf their foreign security holdings. which will be recorded under four groups—United States dollar securities, Canadian dollar securities; Dominion and French securities and finally all other foreign securities. Insurance companies are considering a similar arrangement after which further moves for a complete census of foreign holdings are expected.
