ROLLER SKATING

OPENING OF MASTERTON RINKS. The variety of sports entertainment offering in Masterton is to be augmented in tne near future by the revival of roller skating. Mr A. Tubert, who pul down the first bitumen floor in Christchurch 12 years ago, has reaped the benefit of his long experience,’and the 7,280 square feet of surface that lie ano his assistants have laid down in the building formerly occupied by Mascot Motors Ltd. (opposite the Power Board) is all that could be desired. The splendid hall is admirably suited for skating, and an amplifying system will provide the lutes', music. The whole interior has been tastefully decorated and is pleasing to the eye. An efficient stall will assist learners requiring assistance, and private parties may be arranged. The initial opening will take place on Wednesday next at 7.45 o'clock when a large attendance is anticipated.
