OBITUARY
MR STANLEY CALEY. The death occurred yesterday of Mr Stanley Caley of 22 Hessey Street, Masterton, at the age of 29 years. The late Mr Caley, who was in the service of the Bank of Australasia for some years, was a well known resident of Masterton, where he enjoyed a wide popularity and respect for his sterling character and pleasing disposition. He took an active part in all branches of sport and he was one of the original members of the Manawalu Tramping Club and afterwards a prominent member of the executive of the Wairarapa Tramping Club. The late Mr Caley was educated at the Wairarapa High School and the Wanganui Technical College and joined the Bank of Australasia in Wanganui and was subsequently stationed at Palmerston North, Waipukurau, and for the past 31 years in Masterton. He leaves a wife and daughter and also the following relatives: Messrs L. Caley (Hawke’s Bay) and F. Caley (Hamilton), brothers; Miss E. Caley (Auckland) sister, and Mrs J. McGregor (Lansdowne. Masterton) aunt, to whom the sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended. The funeral takes place this afternoon.
