SHEEP INDUSTRY
MR D. JARDINE APPOINTED TO COMMISSION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The appointment of Mr Dickson Jardine, Kawarau Falls station, Queenstown, as a member of the Commission of Inquiry into the sheep industry of New Zealand, was announced yesterday by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Lee Martin. Mr Jardine replaces Mr R. C. Todhunter, Methven. who resigned from the commission for health reasons. Mr Martin said that Mr Jardine was a very well-known sheep-fanner with a long experience of high-coun-try conditions. The first-meeting of the commission would be held in Wellington on July 11, and the commission had been instructed to report not later than September 30.
