GIRL GUIDES

VOLUNTARY SERVICE REGISTER • COMPLETED. A register has been compiled by the Girl Guides’ Association of New Zealand of all those members of the movement of 18 years of age and over, who are willing to give voluntary service in the case of national emergency. The response in signing the forms has been very good. These forms include a brief questionnaire as to qualifications for first aid, home nursing, transport (driving a car and ability to make repairs), telegraphist work and office work. Other questions referred to the care of the old and very young, domestic duties and canteen work. The register, which will be kept at the Girl Guides’ Dominion Headquarters, Hastings. will be kept up to date in personnel, through co-operation with the Provincial Headquarters of the Guides’ Association.
