Players must be off the first tee by 1 p.m. LABOUR PARTY EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. The fortnightly euchre tourney of the Martinborough branch of the Labour Party was held on Tuesday night. The winners were:—Ladies: Mrs McCardle f, Mrs Wilson 2. Men: Mr T.Stumbles 1, Mr W. McNally 2. Miss Duncalf won the raffle. PERSONAL NOTES Mr Tulloch, of the staff of the local Post Office, has been admitted to Tiri Hospital suffering from pleurisy. Friends will' be pleased to hear Mr Owen Grant is now making a speedy recovery from his recent operation. Mr and Mrs McWilliams will be away from Martinborough for several weeks on holiday. Mr and Mrs D. Chapman have left for a fortnight’s vacation. Mrs Wilson is the guest of her sister, Mrs Malcolm McLeod, Hamenga. Mrs, Patterson, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs W. McLeod, Grey Street, has returned to Wellington. Miss Brenda Bovey, of Wanganui, is the guest of her sister, Mrs D. Lamb, Naples Street Mr Pat Ward, Junr., has taken up a position in Wellington.
