WOMEN’S DIVISION MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Greytown branch of 'the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held yesterday afternoon. Mrs Beu presided oyer a good attendance of members. • A vote of sympathy was passed to Mrs Oakey who had suffered a bereavement. A number of members were absent through sickness. Further correspondence was received from the Grey town Borough Councill in regard to the Rest Room. The Council stated that they were having a plan drawn of the proposed building. An invitation was received to attend the birthday party of the Featherston branch which will take place on July 8. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames J. Barr, R. O’Neale, T. Orr and G. McKenzie. Mr J. F. Thompson was the speaker for the afternoon, and gave a talk on the early history of the Maori for which he was warmly thanked. MINIATURE RIFLES HONOURS EASY. The Greytown and Featherston teams met at Greytown last night. Greytown won the A team match by one point, and Featherston B scored a win by three points in the other grade. The scores were as follow: A grade: Greytown, G. Rhodes 100, H. Gray 98, Miss C. Gray 98, Miss L. Gray 98, Miss A. Gray 92, Miss G. Gray 90, Miss D. Roband 97, J. Geomans 97, W. Fuge 98, total 960. Featherston: K. McKenzie 96, W. Johnson 93, J. Johnson 99, A. Cook 94, A. Madder 96, Miss J. Brash 95, J. Burt 100, B. Williams 99, E. McKenzie 94, Miss P. Nix 93, total 959. McKenzie 90, total 473. Golf Competition. ' On Saturday afternoon a stableford competition will be held. Players are to choose their own partners.
