FOOTBALL MATCH CARTERTON v. GLADSTONE. Considerable interest is being taken in the senior game to be played at Gladstone on Saturday between the two leading teams on the championship ladder. Only a point separates these teams and there is much speculation as to the result. The local boys are confident they can hold their own against their opponents and as interest is keen there should be a big gate to witness this match. It is a pity in this respect that the fixture is not set down for the Carterton ground. On Saturday there will be no matches at Carterton. Church Service. A Church of England service will be hold at Pontahi on Sunday next at 2 p.m. The Rev W. F. Stent will be the minister.
