GOLF COMPETITIONS BALFOUR MEMORIAL TROPHY. (“Times-Age” Special.) ' The final rounds of the Balfour Memorial competition resulted in a win by B. Kiernan, with J. C. Feast run-ner-up. In the morning round Kiernan put up a course record with 69 off the stick. J. C. Feast also did a fine round of 73. In the afternoon conditions were tricky the wind drying up the greens, which became bumpy. Kiernan put in a card of 78, and thereby retained his lead. The best score for the afternoon round came from J. E. Feast, 76. The challenge cup result was in doubt right up to the last round, when J. E. Feast beat B. Kiernan by one point for first place.
