URGENT DISPENSARY
TO BE CLOSED EARLY NEXT MONTH. CHEMISTS’ SHOPS TO REMAIN OPEN. As from July 10, Masterton chemists have decided to close the Urgent Dispensary and to open their shops on a rota system for the dispensing of medicine during the same hours on evenings and Sundays as have been observed by the Urgent , Dispensary. Each chemist will open his shop _ in turn over a weekly period and notices displayed in all chemists’ shops will indicate which shop is open for that week. . ' ... _ The Urgent Dispensary has been m existence since 1922. The decision to close it has been made because it is felt that a better service can be provided to the public by dispensing medicine at the shops, where there is a complete range of requirements. This will obviate the necessity of those engaged in dispensing having to make repeated journeys to their respective shops to secure the medicines required. Moreover, on account of increasing costs, the continuance of the Urgent Dispensary has been found to be an increasingly uneconomic proposition.
