CHARGES OF THEFT AND BREACH OF PROBATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PAHIATUA, This Day. Facing two charges of theft and one of a breach of a probation licence in the Pahiatua Court yesterday, Lawrence Clifford Bentcn, aged 20, of Masterton, was sent to a Borstal institution for eighteen months. He pleaded guilty to the theft of a rug valued at £1 10s, the property of Violet Jensen, between May 30 and June 6, both at Masterton. He was previously convicted at Pahiatua on March 1 of the lheft of £5 and was admitted to probation for two years.
