BLENHEIM AIRPORT

DEMAND FOR AMENDED TIMETABLE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, This Day. In view of the fact that the Blenheim airport in 12 months had handled over 21.000 passengers, compared with 27,500 at Wellington and 9500 at Nelson. the Chamber of Commerce decided tomake representations to thte Transport Department and Cook Strait Airways for an amended timetable, providing for an earlier departure and later return from Wellington. It was also decided to request that a plane be housed at Blenheim, ensuring a minimum interruption of service on account of unsuitable flying conditions over other parts of the route.
