ROAD CYCLING
WAIRARAPA CLUB’S RACE. WIN.. FOR K. WOOLLETT. On Saturday the Wairarapa Amateur Cycling Club held a 30-mile race to the Grey town Hospital and return. Ideal weather conditions prevailed enabling fast times to be recorded. R. Coilp, off scratch, had the misfortune to suffer a puncture about half way home. The following are the results with respective times: —K. Woollett (scr) Ist, Ihr 21min 25sec: G. Goodin (Imin). 2nd. 1 hr 22min, 35 2-ssec; E. Lefort (BJmin), 3rd, Ihr 30min 5 4-ssec. Fastest time honours went to the riders in the above order. The riders were later entertained at afternoon tea by Mr and Mrs S. Copp at their residence in Elizabeth Street.
