With some dissenting voices, a meeting of representatives of cheese factories in the Manawatu-West Coast area and the Taranaki, Wairarapa and Bush districts decided to request the Minister of Marketing to pay the basic price for dairy produce grading 91 i to The meeting also carried a motion requesting the Minister to implement his promise of a differential payment of two pence to cheese producers. A proposal to ask the Government to pay for dairy produce with 28 days grading was deferred for discussion at the National Dairy Conference
