GREYTOWN
RETURNED SOLDIERS MEETING OF COMMITTEE. (“Times-Age” Special.) A special meeting of the committee of the Greytown branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association was held in the Fire Station last night. There were present: Messrs. J. W. Barnard (chairman), G. Robinson (secretary), J. W. Herod, H. G. Carter, C. Shedden, R. Dyson, R. O’Neale and 'Mesdames Dyson, Hutchings and O’Neale. An, apology for absence was received from Miss' Higgison. ' It was decided to hold the Market Wind-up Dance at Morison’s Bush on Monday, June 19, at which a card tournament will be held as well.
PRE-WEDDING PARTY MISS BOUZAID ENTERTAINED. There were over 150 people present at the Oddfellows’ Hall, Greytown; on Wednesday night, when Miss Nora Bouzaid, who is to be married on Saturday to Mr. Basil John Stephenson, of Wellington, was the guest of honour. Mr. H. W. Feast spoke in glowing terms of the qualities of Miss Bouzaid, and referred to her musical ability and her -willingness at all times to assist with her talents. Mr. G. Burns also endorsed the remarks made by Mr. Feast. Mr. Stephenson replied on behalf of Miss Bouzaid, and expressed thanks for the many gifts received. During the evening Mrs. T. Gold gave a solo and Mr. G. Burns also sang, both items being encored. Mr. S. Te Tau supplied the music for the dancing. GOLF TEAMS TO PLAY AGAINST CARTERTON. Junior Hockey Teams. The Greytown junior A will play Greytown B, at Greytown, at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Finn Main Street, left today to reside in Wairoa. Mr. Green is a driver on the rail car service between Napier and Wairoa.
