The Great Northern meeting concluded at Ellerslie today with an attendance of 9500. Heavy showers fell throughout and the course was heavy. The totalisator handled £45.273 10s, compared with £51,215 on the last day of 1938, a decrease of £5941 10s. For the meeting the total was £191,034, against £177,004, an increase of £14,030.
