COURSING

WAIRARAPA CLUB’S MEETING ON SATURDAY. Arrangements are well in hand for a splendid day’s sport on Saturday afternoon, commencing promptly at 1.45. Several important alterations have been carried out at the enclosure during the summer months. A covered-in stimulant pen has been erected in a position that gives a splendid view to competitors waiting their turn to go to the slips. The escapes and baulk fence have been reconditioned and strengthened and the kennel enclosure has also received attention in the way of repairs and painting. The trophies to be competed for are now on view in Messrs C. Smith Ltd.’s windows.
