INDOOR BASKETBALL
INTER-HOUSE COMPETITION. LAST NIGHT’S RESULTS. The local Inter-House Indoor Basketball competition was advanced a further stage in the Y.M.C.A. Hall last evening, there being many spectators in the gallery. The results were as follow: — Men’s section. —Reliance B beat Loan and Mercantile by default; Reliance A beat Press, 38/4; Pirates beat Y.M.C.A., 12/11; Representatives beat Scratch team, 26/8; Borthwicks beat Old Boys, 9/4. Ladies’ section.—Lancers beat Hugos, 28(8- Rovers beat Woolworths, 22/19; C. Smiths beat Y.M.C.A., 28/15; United beat McDuffs, 17/8. A team from the Wellington Y.1V1.C.A. will play a team from the Masterton Association at 6.30 p.m. on Saturday. life public are invited to be present at the match. __
