WATER SUPPLY TAPPED
FEATHERSTON COUNTY AREA. ALLEGATIONS BY COMMITTEE. (“Times- Age” Special.) Allegations by the Featherston -Longwood Water Race Committee that certain authorities had tapped the committee's water supply at the standard situated on the main road at the military camp, and apparently without authority, were contained in a letter to the Featherston County Council received at its monthly meeting today. The authorities who, the committee claimed, had tapped the supply, were the Wairarapa Racing Club, the Public Works Camp, the military camp. Featherston and the Featherston Borough Council. The committee requested that the county take whatever action it deemed necessary. It was decided to write to the autnorities concerned, pointing out that they were using private water and advising them to ask permission to use same.
