An unusual incident occurred at the Hamilton Lake Domain, when two boys were cycling along the domain drive and a swan attacked them. The bird got one wing entangled in the sprocket and driving chain of one of the cycles, and was held for some time while the cyclists and other passers by tried to release it. The task was not an easy one, but the bird was freed, although it lost a few feathers.
