GOLF CLUB FOURSOME. WON BY MRS ROSS AND G. BRUNTON. (“Times-Age” Special.) The first of the mixed foursome games for the president’s trophies was played on the Greytown links on Saturday afternoon. The course was in splendid order and twenty-one pairs took part. The best card for the day was handed in by Mrs Ross and Mr G. Brunton, 94—24, 70. Mr and Mrs G. S. Maloney have returned from a holiday spent at Christchurch. Mr G. On inquiry at the Greytown Post Office your correspondent was informed that the motor registrations are coming in very slowly this year. The Post Office officials anticipate a rush of applications this <week. Inter-Club Visit. On Saturday afternoon a number of members of the South Wairarapa Working Men’s Club paid a visit to the Petone Club and spent a most enjoyable time. Chess Matches. The fortnightly chess gathering of Featherston, Greytown and Masterton players, was held at Captain Barchain's residence on Friday evening.
