WOMEN’S BRANCH MEETING. ADDRESS BY MRS J. THORN. An informative resume of a visit to Geneva was given by Mrs J. Thorn at a meeting in the Y.M.C.A. Hall yesterday of members of the Masterton Women’s Brancn of the New Zealand Labour Party. The president, Mrs J. Robertson, occupied the chair. Mrs Thorn, accompanied her husband, the member for Thames, who was the New Zealand Government delegate to the International Labour Conference at Geneva, held by the League of Nations. She indicated the business dealt with at the conference and made reference to the speeches, of the Various delegates representing many differ,ent nations. Mrs Thorn went on to give reasons why women should belong to the Labour movement. - '
The speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Those 1 present were entertained at afternoon tea.
