LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY
SECOND MONTHLY SOCIAL. SUCCESSFUL PRESENTATIONS. The Savage Club rooms were practically full to the doors last night for the second social evening of the Masterton Little Theatre Society. It had been planned to produce three oneact plays during the evening but owing to unforseen circumstances two of the plays were cancelled and at very short notice arrangements were made for another play to be staged, a reading being substituted for the other play. The presentations were very successful and enjoyable. The first presentation was .entitled “The new farm housemaid” and was played by Mrs R. Miller, Miss M. Wright and Master R. Miller. “Under Cover of Cloud” was next played by Mrs T. Jordan, Miss J. Betts, Miss P. Jordan and Miss J. Shearer with the production in the hands of Miss P. Jordan. “The Conditional Legacy” was read by Mrs W. A. Michael, Miss Cruickshank, Messrs V. Joseph, Wm. C. Mann and G. C. Gaze. The stage directions for this reading were in the capable hands of Miss Jean Douglas. Mr T. Wynne acted as stage manager for the evening. 4 After supper a .short programme of dancing brought a thoroughly enjoyable evening to a" close.
