CRIPPLED CHILDREN
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. At the fortnightly meeting of the executive of the Wairarapa branch of the N.Z. Crippled Children Society, over which Mr E. M. Hodder presided, it was resolved to supply clothing for two crippled children, to make an appointment with a specialist to examine two cleft palate cases, to arrange for an examination of an infantile paralysis case and to endeavour to have operative treatment carried out for two hip cases. Progress reports regarding two cases were considered satisfactory, while another case had been sent to the hospital for observation and examination.
A letter is to be sent to the Women’s National Welfare League expressing the society’s appreciation of the interest taken by their members in the crippled children at the Masterton public hospital. A letter of appreciation for the splendid work accomplished in teaching handcrafts to crippled children at the hospitals to be sent to Miss E. D. Brockett.
