AT LE QUESNOY

NEW ZEALAND FLAGS PRESENTED. WAR MEMORIES RECALLED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) • LONDON, May 12. “The Times” Lille correspondent states that in the presence of political and military dignitaries Mr W. J. Jordan (New Zealand High Commissioner) on his way to Geneva, presented Le Quesnoy, which the New Zealanders captured in 1918, with a New Zealand flag and the pennant of the New Zealand fusiliers. A military review followed, after which wreaths were laid on a monument commemorating nine-ty-three New Zealand officers and men in the Garden of Remembrance.
