By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, May 12. “The Times” Tokio correspondent says that despite a denial of the “Asahi Shimbon” report that Japan offered to mediate between Germany and Poland, the substantial accuracy of the report cannot be doubted. The Japanese informed Poland and Germany that Japan would be happy to use her good offices for the alleviation of tension.
