FARMERS’ UNION CONTEST WAIRARAPA C TEAM WINS BY 10 POINTS. INCREASE IN ENTRIES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Wairarapa C team won this year’s Farmers’ Union rifle shooting match with a margin of ten points over the next team. Twenty-two teams in various parts of New Zealand competed in this year’s competition, the highest for some time past. Results are as follow: Wairarapa C, 499 points 1 Okoke, 489 points 2 Mid-Canterbury No 1, 488 points 3 • Okato, 486 points 4 Wairarapa A, 488 points 5 Wanganui, 481 points 6 Wairarapa B, 479 points 7 Wairarapa D, 468 points 8 The scores of the winning team were:

The highest scorer in the team, H. C. Rasmussen, made one off the possible at each range. It is interesting to note that this competitor last year was the highest scorer outside the winning team, securing a total of 103. The highest scorers this year outside the winning team, each of whom secured 102, were:—l. Ford (Wanganui), 34, 34, 34; V. Rogers (Okoke). 33, 34, 35; J. C. Feast (Wairarapa B), 33, 34, 35. Each of these competitors will receive a medal. In the other Wairarapa teams the highest scorers were: A team, E. M. Wrigley, 101; D team, R. Farrow, 96.
