TABLE TENNIS SEASON. OFFICIAL OPENING. Special.) The official opening of the Greytown Methodist Table Tennis Club took place on Friday evening, members of the Carterton Club were alsck present. The Rev H. E. Harkness declared the season open, and expressed the hope that the coming season would be as happy as the last one had been. Golf Competitions. On Saturday the second of the handicap rounds was played. The best score off the stick was handed in by T. Nelson (81). and the best net score by G. Brunton (89—24, 65). The annual match between Mornington and Greytown took place on the Greytown links on Sunday. In the morning a four ball was played over nine holes, and in the afternoon singles and four ball matches were played. Mornington won by 8 games to 3 in the four ball and by 12 games to 7 in the singles; 5 games being halved. The following were the results of the games, Mornington being mentioned first. —Strathmore lost to J. C. Feast; Webber lost to Nelson; McGirr beat Maddison; Wells lost to Bunny; Williams beat E. Feast; Watkins beat Gold; Hayes and Stunell, all square; Taylor lost to H. G. Carter; Satherley beat McLeod; Mclnnes beat Tate; McIlligot lost to Mrs 'Horner; Wilson and Miss Nix, all square; Carswell beat Mrs Thompson; Jacobi beat Mrs Maddison; Osborne beat Shedden, Lincoln and Keltie. all square; Estall and Williams, all square; Fudge and Peterson all square; Cabitt beat Brunton; Thompson beat Kilgour; Barrett lost to Allison; Everett beat Mrs Ingley; Gaves lost to A. Carter. Ladies Golf Match. The following ladies will represent Grey town in a match to be played against the Carterton ladies at the local links on Thursday next, play to commence at 1.30 p.m.:—Mrs Horner, Miss Nix, Mesdames Maddison, Balfour, Bunny, Gold, R.
