LONDON STOCK MARKET GENERAL RISE IN PRICES. DRIFT TO NEW YORK HALTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, May 3. The overnight improvement in the stock markets was fully maintained today, though business has scarcely expanded. The tone is cheerful and prices generally were marked up. The money market similarly takes a brighter view of the international situation. The drift of capital to New York has virtually ceased and the demand for gold for hoarding has sharply contracted.
