WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING IN MASTERTON. MRS BARRER APPOINTED DELEGATE. I In the absence of the president (Mrs K. Groves) Mrs T. R. Barrel' presided over the monthly meeting of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers' Union held in the Rest room yesterday afternoon. Also present were Mesdames Wright, A. Ross, A. lorns, J. McLean, Cottle, C. A. Burling, Pike and H. McKenzie. Mrs Barrer was appointed delegate to the Wairarapa Council. A shop day was fixed for the first Wednesday in September. The members were in favour of the continuance of the wandering shilling. Several important remits which are to be forwarded to the council meeting were discussed.
