PRE-WEDDING PARTY
MISS NITA INGLEY HONOURED. At “Kandahar,” Lansdowne, Mrs W. A. Burling and daughters recently gave a most enjoyable gift evening for Miss Nita Ingley who is to be married next Week, when about 70 guests attended. The beautiful drawing-room was decorated with hydrangeas in the prevailing colours, and the hall and smoke room with dahlias and chrysanthemums. A very dainty supper was served in the dining-room, the table being charmingly decorated with roses and maidenhair fern. The time was spent in dancing and games. Amid applause the bride-elect opened the many very fine gift parcels. Miss Ingley was dressed in a cyclamen taffeta frock with long white cape. Mrs Burling wore a Handsome black frock with fur cape. The guests expressed their good wishes to the bride-elect and their appreciation of the hospitality extended to them. The gathering was brought to a conclusion with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
