CARD EVENING

V WAIRARAPA COLLEGE PARENTS' ASSOCIATION. APPEAL FOR MORE MEMBERS. The bridge and five hundred evening held by the Wairarapa College Parents’ Association in the Assembly Hall last night attracted an attendance of over sixty players. The hall was attractively decorated for the occasion with autumn flowers and all the arrangements were most complete. The winners of trophies were: Bridge, ladies, Mrs Eastwood; men, Mr F. Shearer. Five hundred, ladies, Mrs Aikman; men, Mr W. R. Nicol. The president of the association, Mr A. Owen Jones, appealed to all parents whose children attended the College to join the association, as it was desired to do everything possible for the benefit of the College and its pupils. Supper was provided by a ladies’ committee.
