WINTER SPORTS CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING. SEASON TO OPEN ON MAY 11. The president, Mr J. Haywood, presided over the annual meeting of the Winter Sports Club held in the Municipal Buildings recently. A large gathering of members and intending members were present. The club decided to move to the Mo Katoa Scout Den in Dixon Street at an early date. Matters having a bearing on the club’s activities were discussed. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr J. Haywood (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs Winslade and Frost; secretary and treasurer, Mr M. G. Wing; committee, Messrs M. Winslade, E. G. Sherrock and Mesdames Winslade and Nichols. It was decided to open the season with an official opening on Thursday, May 11.
