GOLF CLUB COMPETITIONS. MEDAL ROUND RESULTS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Eketahuna Golf Club held medal round competitions on Saturday, the best scores being as follows: Men. Score. Handicap Total W. Leith 98 32 66 M. Fraser 86 16 7U A. Wilson 91 21 70 Ladies. Score. Handicap Total Miss P. O’Donnell 90 21 69 Miss K. Herbert 107 36 71 The club will hold a stablefold bogey competition next Saturday. POLITICAL ADDRESS. MR J.-ROBERTSON AT ' EKETAHUNA. Various aspects of the import control regulations and of the Social Security Act were dealt with by Mr J. Robertson, M.P., in an address at Eketahuna on Saturday night. There was a good attendance of the public and Mr Robertson was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP, SATURDAY’S SENIOR GAMES. The senior football matches played on Saturday under the jurisdiction of the Bush Rugby Union, resulted as follows: — Mangatainoka, 9; Hamau 0. Konini, 10; Nireaha 0. Hukanui, 35; Marima, 3. Pahiatua, 20; Eketahuna, 6. Murch scored three tries for Pahiatua. The Eketahuna score was made up of a try by D. Fauvel and a penalty goal by Watterens.
