PERSONAL ITEMS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr G. Brassell Junr., has been a visitor to Porangahau for several days. Mr and Mrs R. J. Wright left during the weekend for a fortnight’s holiday in Hawke’s Bay. GOLF CLUB SEASON. OPENED ON SATURDAY. The official opening of the Golf Club took place on Saturday afternoon. Mr Blundell (club captain) and Mrs W. J. Martin (president) -in a few words declared the 1939 season open. The first ball was hit ofl’ by Mrs Marflitt, after which a Yankee tournament was held.
