LAMBETH WALK

BANNED BY NAZIS. Lambeth Walk and swing are too hot for Heidelberg Nazi students. The leader of the Heidelberg Nazi Students' League, Dr Herbert Scherberger, has issued the following proclamation to the students of old Heidelberg University: "Effective immediately, I forbid playing and dancing of swing tunes or the Lambeth Walk at all students' social events. “Such foreign dances are irreconcilable with the Nazi attitude of German students or girls students. I expect therefore that students do not participate in such dances on other occasions either, and thereby demonstrate their true Nazi attitude.”
