PIRINOA
HEAVY SWELL CLOSES LAKE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The, outlet of the lake was opened yesterday but during the night a heavy swell came up and completely undid the whole of the work. At present a strong northerly is blowing which, it is hoped, will help eventually to force the water through. Unless an opening is made within the next few days shooters will have an enviable time at the opening of the season. In most cases “mai mais” are well under water and with the water still backing up a great many will completely disap-, pear. Personal Items. Mrs Didsbury and her two sons were the guests of her sister, Miss McDougall, at the weekend. The many friends of Mrs S.
