SEASON CLOSED. At the closing of the Haunui Croquet Club’s season there was a large attendance of members and honorary members at the pavilion, the lawn having been top-dressed after the season. A lucky number competition was won by Mrs Barker. After a dainty afternoon tea had been enjoyed, the trophies won during the pa.st season were presented by the president, Miss Eva Card, as follows:— A championship (Riddiford Cup)—Mrs Watson; runner-up, Miss Nix. B grade (Haunui Cup)—Mrs Hankers; runnerup, Mrs Donald. C championship—Mrs White. A championship doubles— Mrs Barry and Miss Eva Card. B championship doubles—Mesdames Hankers and J. B, Davis. Combined doubles —Mesdames Barry and Donald; runners-up. Miss Nix and Miss Card. A grade singles—Mrs Watson. B grade singles (sealed handicap) —Mrs Brophy. Yankee handicap singles—Miss Esme Card. Beginners’ trophy—Mrs Boston. Halfhour games—A grade, Mrs Barry. B grade, Mrs Card.
