The Geneva correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says the Labour Office is temporarily renouncing ■ efforts to generalise the forty-hour week, in view of the international situation. Of reports of fifty-six governments consulted, seven theoretically favoured the reform and thirty-one did not reply.
