MISS M. LONG ENTERTAINED. LINEN AND KITCHEN TEAS. ' On Saturday afternoon at their home in Walton Avenue, Masterton, Mrs Olga Church, and her mother, Mrs Lyons, were the Hostesses at a gathering held in honour of Miss Marjorie Long, who is to be married shortly. The function took the form of a “Linen Tea,” and the guests were entertained at novel ana amusing competitions. A buffet tea was served followed by the opening, by Miss Long, of an excellent collection of linen gifts. Among those present were: —Mesdames Baker, Biggs, Cunningham, Groves, Hollis, W. H. Long, C. K. Long, W. Pullar, Wyatt, Geary and Misses Eddy, Olive Long. Betty Long and Percy and Hubbard. Miss Marjorie Long was the guest of honour at a “Kitchen Tea” later in the week at the home of Mrs Baker at Lansdowne, where Mrs Baker and Mrs C. K. Long were the hostesses. A large gathering of friends were entertained at afternoon tea. after which Miss Long was called upon to open a large number of parcels containing useful kitchen gifts.
