Mrs Cecil Kebbell, of “Te Hoe,” Alfredton, has left on a visit to England. Mrs F. L. Walton, of New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs A. Anderson, Eketahuna.
Miss Boddington, of Essex Street, Masterton. has returned from a visit to Wellington.
Miss Grace Tooby, of Masterton, has returned from a visit to the South Island.
Mrs Neave, of Christchurch, who has been a visitor to Putara, will leave today on her return home. Mrs N. Lamont (Masterton) and her small daughter spent the weekend in Palmerston North with her mother, Mrs E. L. Christian.
Mrs C. W. Wright, of Church Street. Masterton, who has been on a visit to her brother, Dr. R. McMaster, of Los Angeles, U.S.A., left on her return to New Zealand yesterday. The friends of Mrs D. Waterson, of Lincoln Road. Carterton, will be pleased know tha't she has returned to her home after a successful operation performed at Mastertoh Hospital. Mrs W. G. K. Wiggins was yesterday re-elected for the twelfth successive year secretary of the Greytown branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Her outstanding work in her official capacity has contributed in a very large measure to the substantial progress which the branch has made. 7 - CARTERTON (“Times-Age” Special.) Miss Betty Beale was the guest of honour at a 5 o'clock cocktail party held at, the residence of Miss Olga Barber, Pembroke Street, on Monday evening. The hostesses were Mesdames R. Barrett, L. J. Fairbrother, V. Gustbfsen and Miss Olga Barber. There were 36 guests present, and each guest brought something for the medicine chest. A happy time was spent playing games and later the guests went to a picture party. r Mrs W. Howard Wobdroffe and Mrs L. E. Ball, of Auckland, arrived in Carterton on Monday for the wedding of their neice, Miss Betty Beale, and are the guests of Mr and Mrs A. W. Beale, Rex Wood Street.
