OBITUARY
MRS K. D. McKENZIE. The death occurred yesterday at Wellington of Mrs Hannah Bella McKenzie the widow of the late Mr K. D. McKenzie who predeceased her some years ago. Although Mrs McKenzie had been in indifferent health for -a number of years her death comes as a shock to a very large number of friends to whom she had endeared herself by her kindly and cheerful disposition. The late Mrs McKenzie, who for a large number of years resided in Masterton, was the daughter of early Wairarapa settlers, the late Hugh Mclntyre McKay and Mrs J. M. McKay, of 17 Villa Street, Masterton. Mrs McKenzie is survived by her mother and two daughters, Isabel, the wife of Mr L. C. Kerr, of Auckland, and Isla, the wife of Squadron-Leader B. S. Nicholl of the Royal Air Force, England. Three sisters, Mesdames H. J. Ashworth, Wellington, Frank Shaw, Otaki and J. G. Mackay, Wangaehu, Masterton, and three brothers, Messrs John and George McKay, of Pongaroa, and James McKay of Halcombe, also survive her. The sympathy of many friends will be extended to the bereaved relatives.
The funeral is leaving the residence of Mrs J. M. McKay, 17 Villa Street, Masterton, this afternoon at 3 o’clock for the Masterton cemetery.
