PRE WEDDING PARTY
MISS BETTY BEALE HONOURED. In honour of her approaching mar-, riage,- Miss Betty Beale, of Carterton, was entertained by a number of friends at a picture party on Monday evening, and later at the residence of Mrs J. A. B. Lawrence, where an enjoyable time was spent. A tasty supper was served. Miss Mary Lawrence and Miss Molly Smart were the hostesses. The guest of honour received a varied array of attractive and practical kitchen gifts. Miss Beale looked charming in a floral frock. Among the guests present were Mesdames R. Campbell, N. E. Stretton, V. Gustafson, L.. Fairbrother, R. Barrett, Misses Adele Barber, L. Moody, Y. Cooke, V. Tucker, ‘L.. Tucker, Tui Anderson.
