GREYTOWN
DIGGERS’ MARKET. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Diggers’ Market is to open in the Town Hall, Greytown, at 1 p.m. on Friday. All the stalls will be filled with all kinds of goods. A feature of the meat stall will be six sucking pigs, fresh and cooked. -Matron Higginson’s doll stall will be well worth a visit. Among the war trophies will be seen maps, masks, shell cases, etc., and also a Victoria Cross and an Iron Cross. The competitions will all be completed by 10 p.m. Waiohine River Up. The Waiohine River started to -rise yesterday afternoon owing to the heavy rain in the hills. Farewell. The parishioners of St. Luke’s farewelled Mr and Mrs E. Graham at a social evening. The departing guests were presented with a cheque and the best wishes of all were expressed to them for their future success.
